It's been a wild ride.Like I said in my previous post, when the end of a year comes I start to get sentimental. Why? Maybe it's hormones. Maybe it's just being a human being.

Today my family is starting to adapt to lots of changes. We are relocating to a new town. We have secured an apartment for the transition and a storage unit. Oh boy. Now the real work comes. Trying to get a house ready to sell. Our last sale/purchase was really interesting. One word of advise to all -- DON'T EVER USE A RELATIVE AS A REAL ESTATE AGENT! ! ! ! Ok. Some of you think this may be a no brainer. My husband and I had never been through the process before and did everything wrong. We put too much trust in the agent because we thought she would do what's right. Ask tons of questions and don't be afraid to tell them what YOU want. This time we are educated and things are going to turn around. We are using a realtor in the city we are moving to for a purchase, and a separate one in the town in which we live to sell our home.

The count down is on for the end of 2007. Just a few hours left to make those resolutions for the next year. What are my resolutions? This is what I came up with:

1. Lose 50lbs. Yes.. lots of stress and baby weight never lost.
2. Make a routine of going to the gym.
3. Don't be as crabby. When I feel a mood swing coming on.. I am going to nip it in the bud.
4. Spend more time outside with my kids.
5. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Here it is. Permanently on the web. I am committed now!

JustMehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16910840450961900567noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8100376974889122673.post-22081066226032920932007-12-29T12:10:00.000-08:002007-12-29T12:19:58.601-08:002008... Just around the cornerI don't know about anyone else, but when the end of year comes to an end, I start to think about everything that has happened in the last 12 months. It makes me happy and sad. We have suffered through various types of losses, but also have rejoiced in many happy events and gains.

My goal this year was to establish a stronger relationship with God. Don't get me wrong. I am not a holier than thou type of person. With all of the ups and downs that my family has been through, there has to be a reason why. We are not bad people. My husband goes out of his way to help friends and family. He is strongly committed to his friends and would never turn his back. Me, I have been teaching Sunday School, I volunteer to help out financially with my oldest son's school donating supplies whenever I can. My parents are taken care of, we volunteer our time to our church and school. We don't drink and go out to party. Our kids are priority number 1. We also are trying to teach them strong family values. So why do bad things happen to good people? Is God trying to make us suffer to remind us that we are human and to appreciate the things we have? There are so many questions that I would like answered, but know that I will never get any type of direct response.

2008 is right around the corner and I pray that good things will happen to all good people in the world. I pray for peace so that our troops overseas can come home safely. I pray that the environment will stabilize and end the suffering from hurricanes and tragic storms. I pray that everyone will remember the hardships other people are going through while they are enjoying the blessings they receive in their life.

Have a happy, and safe New Year everyone!

JustMehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16910840450961900567noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8100376974889122673.post-72790971920813265272007-12-22T17:56:00.001-08:002007-12-22T18:24:14.669-08:00The Final Christmas Shopping Hours..Today my family and I went into Sioux Falls to do some shopping. Argh! People are insane! It's one thing to be excited about shopping and wanting to hurry up and get it done. There is total chaos in the streets! Don't be looking down at your feet while you are walking in a parking lot because you are bound to get run over by someone trying to dial their cell phone, light a cigarette, and trying to back up at the same time!

Everyone needs to slow down and remember, it doesn't pay to hurry. Are we so wrapped up in ourselves that we forget about the others around us? It was touching to see people standing in line at the big red buckets for the Salvation Army waiting to put their donation in. So I guess it isn't all that bad. I just want everyone to be safe and make it home to their families on the eve of this great holiday. The birth of Christ. Oh yeah.. that big fat jolly guy that leaves gifts isn't bad either.

Merry Christmas everyone!

JustMehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16910840450961900567noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8100376974889122673.post-29856302720099230622007-12-22T14:46:00.000-08:002007-12-22T14:48:59.322-08:00New To Blogging..Welcome to my first Blog!
